Appointments
We are not an emergency clinic. We have generous opening and closing hours as we recognize that not all of our clients can fit into a 9-5 schedule.
Please call ahead to make sure that we have the time and staff on hand to be able to help your pet in a timely manner.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases can and do arise, which is why the occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available if approved by the veterinarian on staff. A 'drop off' means you bring your pet at the time that works best for you and us, and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to admit your pet to the hospital sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments, or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he or she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis, discuss a treatment plan and give you discharge instructions.
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. All animals must be placed on a leash, or in a species appropriate pet carrier before entering our species separated waiting rooms. Please do not allow your pet to "socialize" with other pets before asking the owner's permission. Remember, not all pets are friendly and outgoing.
