Dr. Chantal Litalien is originally from Windsor, Ontario.
She has always had a passion for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She has been working in the field since the age of 16 – initially as a volunteer, then as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant.
She completed a B.S. in Biology before moving to Ireland for veterinary school. She graduated with First Class Honours from the University College Dublin in 2017.
After graduating in Ireland, she moved to the East coast where she practiced in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for 2 years. She subsequently moved to Oregon and practiced in the Willamette Valley for 3 years, while her husband (also a veterinarian!) completed his surgical residency at Oregon State. After falling in love with the Pacific Northwest, they decided to relocate and make the Lower Mainland their home.
Dr. Litalien’s professional interests include feline medicine, ultrasound, internal medicine, and pain management. Her personal interests include pottery, gardening, baking, hiking, reading, crocheting, knitting, and of course, spending time with her husband Alex, and their cats, Pierre and Charlotte.
