Dr. Megan Monaghan grew up in Markham, Ontario and knew very early on that she would pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Compassionate for all creatures great and small, she spent her university summers working with thoroughbred racehorses and volunteering at the Toronto Zoo. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo prior to graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2014. During her years at vet school, Megan traveled to India and Thailand with the Global Vets program to help the local wildlife and participate in spay and neuter clinics.
After graduation, Megan spent a year in BC completing an equine internship before moving back to Ontario where she practiced in both equine and companion animal hospitals. After marrying her husband who is a native of BC, they decided to relocate to the west coast to be closer to the mountains.
Megan’s professional interests include canine and feline medicine, dentistry, and taking a team based approach to client education and preventative care.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys hiking with her dog Darwin, doing yoga, skiing, scuba diving, and travelling.
Dr. Monaghan is currently on maternity leave <3
